37 weeks and 3 days

37 Weeks and still no progress!

Yesterday was our 37 week appointment and if you have kept up with my other blogs, I have made no progress so far. Well yesterday was no exception, Anderson still has not dropped and Dr. Joe said he is actually as far up into my ribs as he could go, so he should be dropping soon. I was very frustrated yesterday after hearing that I still had not dialted or effaced at all. Luckily some friends on FB made me feel a whole lot better and I realize Anderson will come when he is good and ready (honestly I think it is the stubborn Sartain in him =) ). Other than that my pregnancy is still going great! I have had NO trouble sleeping other than having to get up to go to the bathroom every hour lol! My energy level is better than I thought it would be at this point and I am still working. So we are still waiting impatiently for our little man to get here! here are some pictures from my work shower and recent baby gifts he got from his Aunt Leslie! She does monnogramming and I was so excited by his initial outfits!!!!

36 weeks and counting....

Today was my 36 week appointment, I have been praying since last week that I would have had some kind of  progress, but no such luck! So we go back for our 37 week appointment next Tuesday at 3, hopefully by then I'll have progressed some!

Yesterday after work Bradley and I went on a tour of the maternity ward of the Women's and Children's Pavilion, where I will be delivering Anderson! It was super nice, and the staff seemed very sweet! I think the highlight of the tour was getting to see a baby in the nursery that had just been born. He was so cute and I was just in awe of what that mother had just done and what I would be doing soon. I must admit, I was overwhelmed during the tour bc it finally hit me that is the next few weeks I would be walking through these doors and delivering my little man. Its a humbling feeling that God puts that must trust in us to be mothers and care for something so fragile. I fell more in love with my little boy while visiting the hospital, bc he is worth the 9 months of heartburn and swollen feet =) Words really cannot express how ready I am to meet my son and watch him grow, I am so excited I could burst and it is all I think about 24/7. So while I have been complaining about not progressing as much as I would like, I don't mind feeling him roll around in my belly and I will so miss that feeling when he is here, because then I'll have to share him with everyone =)

35 weeks and a 6lb 6oz baby!

Yesterday was my 35 week appointment, I was so excited about getting to see my little man again! When she turned on the machine the first thing she measured was his head....which was huge =) and everything else was perfect =) The funny part came when she checked to see how much he weighed! at 35 weeks Anderson is 6lbs and 6oz and healthy =) He has has huge feet as you can see in the ultrasound pic I have posted! We then went in to see Dr. Joe and sadly I have not dilated or effaced any, but the good news is I can go into labor anytime now and he will be fully developed and have no problems! So I was very happy to see that!

After my appointment I had a baby shower at the Covington Church of Christ (pics to come soon) that my Mom's work threw for Anderson. He got so much great stuff! We have his bouncer, travel system, and baby monitor now! We are so blessed to have so many people that love us and him already! So here is my "BIG" little man showing us he big foot and sucking his thumb =) I love him so much and can't wait to meet him!!!!!

4th of July weekend/34 weeks!

It was a very relaxing long weekend at the Sartain house!!! I slept in Saturday and Sunday and tried to rest as much as possible! Sunday night we are dinner with my parents and shot off fireworks! It was so nice outside Sunday night! Monday I got up around 7 and went to my moms house so she could color my hair, then Bradley met our friends Esther and David for lunch at Chilies in Memphis! It was so good to see them since I haven't seen Esther since we both found out we were pregnant! We exchanged gifts since neither of us could make it to a shower for the other! They got Anderson the cutest Memphis Tiger outfit plus some bath time essentials! they also got Anderson his walker!!!! We were so excited! Today is the first day of work after a long weekend and it is going pretty good so far, luckily it is only a 4 day week!

I also turned 34 weeks this past Sunday and we have our first consultation appointment with Anderson's new pediatrician, Dr. Kronenberg. He came highly recommended so we are very excited about meeting him! Next Tuesday is my 35 week appointment and we both cannot wait to see our little man in the ultrasound! It has been 15 weeks since our last one and we are dying to see how big he has gotten!!! Here are some pics of some new gifts Anderson has gotten! plus me at 34 weeks and 2 days =)
