One sick Puppy and one held hostage

To say I am upset with Munford Animal Hospital is not doing it justice, I am grateful they saved Roxie, but that is overshadowed by them holding my Scottie hostage for a mistake they made. I guess I better start from the beginning; Last Monday our big dog was very sick, she was drooling a lot, she couldn't walk and she just looked awful. Well we loaded her up and took her to the vet, sure enough she tested positive for parvo. I felt horrible, if you know me, you know I love my dogs as if they were my kids and I cannot stand to watch them suffer. The vet (Dr. Baits, who was amazing) told us she had a 70% chance of survival, and she seemed optimistic. Well we got to bring her home Thursday and we were so excited bc I missed her so much! But she still wouldn't eat or drink anything, so my worries came right back. Well yesterday morning, it was Koal's turn to go to the vet, he was due for his annual shots and a goood haircut. I was told he could not be groomed until he got his shots and I said that was totally fine. So i left him there to get his shots and then be groomed later that day. I get all the way back to Covington when Bradley calls and said Koal had bitten their groomer and the animal control officer had been called. I WAS FURIOUS. I drove all the way back to Munford and to say I got a little irate would be an understatement!!!! Since Koal was 10 days late on his Rabies shot, he has to be quarantined for TEN DAYS due to and TN state law. I could not understand how they could tell me that he would have to have his shots first and yet they still let the groomer start working on him!!??!!! Why couldn't they tell me he couldn't be groomed at all until his shots took effect, I would have totally understood. But instead they decided to go against their own P&P and I had to pay 310 dollars to board him at the hospital so he wouldn't have to go to the animal shelter. So I get one of my dogs back and I lose the other one. I miss Koal so much, and I don't get him back until August 2nd. Anyways that is my rant for the day, i will be seeking some kind of action against this office for doing this, and I just pray Koal doesn't hate me too much when he sees me.

Being that we cannot get Internet at our house yet (price we pay for our country home) I use my parents Internet a lot. I happened to find these pictures on her computer and couldn't remember writing about this experience. I have always kept women with Breast Cancer close to my heart and in my prayers, this runs rampant on my dad's side of the family! My mom's office and some others from the Court House decided to form a team and walk for this amazing cause! We had a blast and cannot wait to walk again this year. Anderson was only 2 months old at the time we walked this race and I wish it would have been warm enough to bring him with us. This year he will be there!!! Anyways these pictures just brought some happy memories and I thought I would post them =)

11 Months Old!

Anderson,

It is hard for mommy and daddy to believe that 11 months have flown by since you came into our world. I had the best 9 months carrying you because you were such an easy baby! That is true still today, you are so well behaved and so sweet. Mommy is struggling with the fact that you aren't a baby anymore, but I could not be more proud of the independent little man you have become. So here are some things you do now!

1. You are in size 4 diapers
2. You are only drinking about 2 formula bottles a day now, you love white milk so far!
3. You have gotten better at your sippy cup and picking up food with your hands
4. You are almost in a size 5 shoe (when you wear them)
5. You still have NO teeth....hopefully soon though!
6. You go to bed at 8 to 8:30, you are still waking up around 1:30 every morning but it is no more than 15 min. then off to sleep you go until around 6:30 in the morning.
7. You are standing on your own, and getting very good at walking!!! BUT you only walk when YOU want to and never when mommy has a camera or her flip out!
8. You love all your toys and do not really have a favorite
9. You say, momma, dada, bye bye (and wave), boo boo( for book), pop-pop(my dad), and cheese (when someone take your picture =) )

You are so independent and we are so proud of you! You do so many things now it is hard for me to remember them all to write them all down. Your birthday party is planned for August 6th and I am ordering your invitations today! We love you little man and are so blessed God chose us as your parents!

I promise I have pictures but my blogger is acting weird! I will post soon!

4th of July and first haircut!

I have to be honest and say this was not the Fourth of July weekend we were hoping for but it was still nice all the same!!! Anderson is cutting his bottom two teeth at once and they are just giving him fits! So we have spent the majority of the holiday weekend inside watching tv and resting. Today this momma HAD to get out of the house, so we layed around until 1:30 and headed off to Anderson's great grandmothers to get his very first haircut! He was ok during most of it and got kind of fussy towards the end. But all in all he did great and he looks like such a big boy now! We are now at my parents house eating and watching CARS bc it is Anderson's favorite movie! Thats really all for right now! Anderson will be 11 months in 3 days and it is really hitting home that I will be planning a First birthday party for my baby in the next week! OMG anyways, thank you all for checking in! we love you all!
