Busy month!!!
Last Saturday started off our crazy month with a BANG! We had a tacky Christmas sweater party at my brothers house and had a blast! Anderson, Morgan (sis in law) and I had so much fun playing Just Dance 3 on the Wii!! But that was just the beginning! Tonight we have Bradley's work Christmas Party, Saturday we are taking Anderson to see Santa at 3:30, then going to Zoo Lights at 5:30!!! It will be chilly but I'm sure we will have a ball!!! Next Saturday we have Christmas is Dickson at Bradley's Grandmother's house then we have Christmas at my grandmother's house in Covington on Sunday! Of course the next weekend is Christmas! Santa has a lot in store for Anderson and I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning! This is really all we have going on right now, I hate to say we don't even have time to send out Christmas cards this year! But we are so blessed and ready for a great Christmas! We hope all of you have one as well!

Time Marches on.....
To quote my favorite Tracy Lawrence song, time is definitely moving right along, and our little boy is not so little any more. Last week he discovered Toy Story and Buzz Lightyear......I have friends with older children that warned me he would latch on to a movie and we would be forced to watch it over and over again. I did not think it would happen this soon, but the time is here. For the last week almost every word out of Anderson's mouth has been "I WANT BUZZ", or "WHERE IS WOODY"? Do not get me wrong, I love watching him get excited over movies...it literally made me cry when he sat in my lap and watched the whole movie with me, but I must say Toy Story is getting old lol. He has gotten such a little personality here lately! He has ALWAYS been a really personable baby, but now he will just light up a room! He is talking in sentences now and I could not be more proud! He has the cutest southern draw and is just smart as a whip (I'm his momma so I can brag). He can pick colors out of his crayon box, and he can bring you anything you ask him to go get for you. He is just the light of our lives and I love waking up to him screaming Momma into the monitor lol. I must admit the baby fever has set in on me a little, we are waiting until next spring to really start trying for baby #2, but a lot of my girlfriends are pregnant now and I can help but be a little jealous...to make it worse they are all having GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!! If you know the Sartain family, having a little girl may not be in the cards for me, and I would certainly be so happy with another little boy, but I would sooo love to have a little girl! anyways, i have started rambling......We are ready for Christmas and cannot wait to spend it with our family. We hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and God Bless

Tis' the Season
We are officially in Holiday mode at the Sartain house, and cannot wait to get the Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities started! I will say I am quite proud that I should, keyword SHOULD, have my shopping done by Thanksgiving and all of it wrapped and under the tree! Thank goodness for Wal-Mart layaway!!!!! Christmas is my favorite time of year and this year is no exception! I fight with Bradley every night begging him if we can put up the tree, sadly he says no lol. We do plan on putting up the tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving and then going to Zoo Lights that night! I have never been to Zoo Lights so we are all so excited, Anderson loved Zoo Boo so I'm sure he will love this. Other than this, not much is going on, just working and spending as much time together as possible! Anderson is growing up way to fast and has his 15 month checkup next Friday. I'm anxious to see if he has hit the 30lb mark yet! he sure feels heavier to me lol. On another note mom is doing great! she is healing very well and will hopefully be going back to work the first week in December, so thank you all for your prayers and well wishes! Hope you all have a great week and thank you for checking in!!!!

ZooBoo!
I am finally at my moms house and able to update you all on how big Anderson is getting! Last Halloween Anderson was only 2 months old and fighting a nasty cold, this year he was 14 months and fighting another nasty cold! However, he still had a blast this Halloween! We bought tickets to Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo and it was such a blast! Anderson hasn't been to the zoo since he was about 6 months old and he was soooo amazed by everyone in costumes. We went to the creatures of the night exhibit and he was in hog heaven! When we got to the bats he would just oooo and aaaah and say BAT! but of course every other animal was a "puppy", that's his favorite word. Halloween night was the next Monday and it was fun as well! We got off of work and went to my grandmothers house to pass out candy. Anderson hit a few houses but with this cold he has we stayed in most of the night. So all in all it was a pretty good Halloween and now we are waiting anxiously for Thanksgiving =) Here are some pictures from Zoo Boo!

Lots going on!
Well, I say a lot but it is not THAT much lol. My mom is home from the hospital and actually goes in to get her staples out next Monday (all 120 of them!). She is doing much better, still easing into the food thing slowly but all in all I think she is feeling much better! We are so glad she is home and feeling better!
On our home front I have sad news to report, the last Sunday mom was in the hospital I stayed with her, Bradley and Anderson came to pick me up and while we were gone someone opened up our back gate and either took our Roxie girl or she got out trying to protect the house. We have searched and searched and with no luck at all =( we hope to find her but it has been well over a week and our hopes are down. I miss her so much and pray she is safe wherever she is. As for Anderson he is growing in leaps and bounds! he is so smart and funny and boy does he have a personality! He has learned to say trick or treat and we are anxiously awaiting Halloween! I bought us tickets to Zoo Boo for this Saturday and cannot wait to see his reaction to it! I have been before with a friend and her son, but this will be Bradley and Anderson's first trip. I have no new pictures to post right this second but I will have plenty from this weekend and Monday night to post sometime next weekend! That is really all the big news right now!
Bradley's bodybuilding season is over (to the relief of this mommy!) and he did so good!!! He competed in Tunica's Battle on the Bluff and got 4th, then he competed in the Dexter Jackson Memphis Classic and got 3rd!!! He was so excited to meet Dexter Jackson, and I must say he is quite a large man! That is really all the updates I have for right now! Thanks for checking in and I will post pictures soon I promise!!!

Day 1
Today is Day 1 of mom's recovery, she is in her room at Methodist North and is doing as well as expected. She is in quite a bit of pain, but hopefully we can get that under control soon. Yesterday went by really fast for me, I'm sure it drug on for mom. She was only in surgery an hour and a half and to our great pleasure, the surgery was not as extensive as once thought it needed to be. Her surgeon, Dr. Payne (i know, what a name right?!) called us and told us he was almost giddy at how well things went. Mom should have a pain free life from here on out and be able to eat pretty much whatever she wants (google and crohn's diet and see how much fun it sounds). I hate that I can't be with her at the hospital, but Daddy is there to make sure she is well taken care of. I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, she is out of the woods, but still in so much pain, so keep them coming!

Uncharted Territory
Tomorrow is the day, my mom has her major surgery that will put her on the road to recovery and a normal life with no pain once again. I just wish the surgery was not so major, she will be out of work for close to 2 months while she heals. My mom has always taken care of us and none of us are used to her being down for this long. She checks in tomorrow morning at Methodist North at 7 am. If all goes to plan she will go back for her surgery at 8:30. Per her surgeon, she will be in surgery close to 3 hours. I'm asking for thoughts, prayers, pretty much anything you are willing to give at this moment. She is so brave and ready for this to be behind her and we are just ready for her to feel better and get that chicken tender salad from Court Square Cafe she has wanted for months! (if you know anything about Crohn's disease, salad is a NO NO!) So now our roles switch, we will be there to take care of mom and make sure she is comfortable and get her back to feeling good again! I plan on taking Anderson to see her tonight since it will be a while before she can hold him again, and then tomorrow starts the journey to recovery! So again, please if you have a quick second tomorrow say a prayer for her! Thanks for checking in! We love you all!

Have I mentioned I LOVE fall!
The weather, the leaves, the atmosphere....Fall has arrived and it puts me in such a great mood! I wish i could say the same for my husband and child! this time of year brings on allergies and ear infections...BUT so far we have made it through Pediatrician/Doctor appointment free! There isn't much to report, life is moving along as always, Anderson is growing like a weed and proving to be such a smart little boy! He talks up a storm and is starting to piece together sentences. He will look at our Scottish terrier and say "Stop it puppy" or he will look at his cup on the counter and say cup please (tup pees). There are a lot more phrases and I am a proud mommy! Other than Anderson being his adorable self we have a big event coming up next week, my mom is having bowel resection surgery next Tuesday and all prayers and thoughts are welcome! She has been struggling with Crohn's disease for years and it has taken its toll on her body. The good news is with this major surgery comes healing and her being able to enjoy things she hasn't been able to in a long time! We are all ready for her to feel better and celebrate the holidays! Bradley is still doing his bodybuilding and has one last competition of the year in about 2 weeks (thank goodness). He is training hard and getting excited! I so proud of him, he has more discipline than I ever could have...I love food way to much to start practicing portion control =) Anyways that's about it for now, please keep my mom in your prayers as she recovers from surgery and as always thank for checking in on us! God Bless!

Fall is here =)
Well I have time to post a quick update of the happenings in the Sartain household! Shockingly enough, not much is going on lol. The seasons have changed in West Tn, and so has Anderson's health I'm afraid, this time of year brings on allergies and constant congestion for my poor little guy! The last few days he has been waking up more frequently at night and is just so restless! But it bites when we are congested so imagine how he feels! Other than him staying so stuffy he is still the most awesome little man! He is so happy and getting so big, he comes up to my knees now, but most of you know I'm short so that isn't really saying much!
Bradley and I celebrated 2 wonderful years of marriage on September 12th! He was in the middle of training for his Body Building contest so the menu to celebrate was limited, however we did get to eat at Logan's and it was fabulous! We had the night to ourselves, which was much appreciated and loved every minuet of time to ourselves (though I did go pick up Anderson about 8 the next morning lol)
Bradley came in 4th out of 4 at the Battle on the Bluff and I could not be more proud! He is a natural body builder so it is harder to compete with men who pump themselves full of steroids! My friend Tiffany and I went to his competition together and had a girls night out, and I must say it was a hoot =)
Other than that our lives are going along great! I am so happy for Fall weather to be here, and college football has taken over our household, with this brings the Memphis vs. Tennessee rivalry in our home =) and since this is my blog I can proudly say GO TIGERS....BOO UT =) That's it for right now, thank for checking in on us and I will hopefully have a post with updated pictures soon!

First day at the Park/play date with Lena!
Last weekend we decided to take Anderson to Cobb Par Park to play on the new playground, he did soo good and LOVED the swings! The equipment is still a little too much for him right now but the swings are right up his ally! Today we took him to Mrs. Ginger Sallee's house to visit with her sweet granddaughter Lena and her mom Randi who were visiting from Johnson city Tn, He and Lena are a year apart but they played great together! We found out that Anderson LOVES bouncy castles and had so much fun on the slide attached! Here are some pics of the park and his play date with sweet Lena

One sick Puppy and one held hostage
To say I am upset with Munford Animal Hospital is not doing it justice, I am grateful they saved Roxie, but that is overshadowed by them holding my Scottie hostage for a mistake they made. I guess I better start from the beginning; Last Monday our big dog was very sick, she was drooling a lot, she couldn't walk and she just looked awful. Well we loaded her up and took her to the vet, sure enough she tested positive for parvo. I felt horrible, if you know me, you know I love my dogs as if they were my kids and I cannot stand to watch them suffer. The vet (Dr. Baits, who was amazing) told us she had a 70% chance of survival, and she seemed optimistic. Well we got to bring her home Thursday and we were so excited bc I missed her so much! But she still wouldn't eat or drink anything, so my worries came right back. Well yesterday morning, it was Koal's turn to go to the vet, he was due for his annual shots and a goood haircut. I was told he could not be groomed until he got his shots and I said that was totally fine. So i left him there to get his shots and then be groomed later that day. I get all the way back to Covington when Bradley calls and said Koal had bitten their groomer and the animal control officer had been called. I WAS FURIOUS. I drove all the way back to Munford and to say I got a little irate would be an understatement!!!! Since Koal was 10 days late on his Rabies shot, he has to be quarantined for TEN DAYS due to and TN state law. I could not understand how they could tell me that he would have to have his shots first and yet they still let the groomer start working on him!!??!!! Why couldn't they tell me he couldn't be groomed at all until his shots took effect, I would have totally understood. But instead they decided to go against their own P&P and I had to pay 310 dollars to board him at the hospital so he wouldn't have to go to the animal shelter. So I get one of my dogs back and I lose the other one. I miss Koal so much, and I don't get him back until August 2nd. Anyways that is my rant for the day, i will be seeking some kind of action against this office for doing this, and I just pray Koal doesn't hate me too much when he sees me.

Being that we cannot get Internet at our house yet (price we pay for our country home) I use my parents Internet a lot. I happened to find these pictures on her computer and couldn't remember writing about this experience. I have always kept women with Breast Cancer close to my heart and in my prayers, this runs rampant on my dad's side of the family! My mom's office and some others from the Court House decided to form a team and walk for this amazing cause! We had a blast and cannot wait to walk again this year. Anderson was only 2 months old at the time we walked this race and I wish it would have been warm enough to bring him with us. This year he will be there!!! Anyways these pictures just brought some happy memories and I thought I would post them =)
