Anderson's First Christmas

Christmas weekend for the Sartain house was very hectic! Anderson began the painful part of teething this Saturday so Christmas Day was a bit crazy! Anderson went to bed Christmas Eve around 9, and Bradley and I stayed up to watch Christmas Vacation! Santa came and delivered all of Anderson's gifts and then we went to bed. Anderson woke up at 4:15 (which is unusual) and so, Bradley and I got on up and fed Anderson his breakfast and played for a little while. When Anderson seemed to be in his "happy baby" mood as I call it, we opened gifts! Anderson was very spoiled by Santa! He got a stuffed Perry the Platypus, bc Phineas and Ferb is his new favorite show, and lots of Little Einstein movies! At about 5:30 we headed over to Mom's to do our Christmas with them, Anderson was beyond spoiled there! I cannot even LIST everything he got! Mom cleaned out the Disney store that's for sure!! Around 10 or so Anderson was starting to get fussy, but would not stay down for a nap so Bradley and I loaded up the car and headed home for a little rest, Anderson slept MAYBE 45 minuets and was back up and ready to go. He wasn't as fussy but wasn't in the best mood either. at 4:00 o'clock we went back to mom and dad's for dinner and played the new Wii games. Anderson was getting increasingly agitated and by the time we left mom's we had all been up for 15 hours straight! We got home around 7 and Anderson was very upset! His gums were hurting him so bad and of course, i had NO baby orajel!!! I gave him a warm bath and a full dose of Tylenol and he finally fell asleep around 8:30. This was to be short lived bc at 9 he woke up screaming, I was having one of those "i give up" kind of moments when a friend of mine who lives in Memphis offered to meet me in town and bring me some Orajel bc all of the Walgreen's in Midtown were still open and she was heading to Covington anyways.....WHAT AN ANGLE! I woke Bradley up around 9:30 and we all rode to Kroger to meet Sherrie. Anderson was still screaming so I figured a car ride would do him good. We met Sherrie and thank her about 100 times and then headed back home, Anderson by this time, had fallen sound to sleep. So Anderson FINALLY went down for the night and when I was walking back into the living room, I noticed Bradley shaking, he had body aches and his stomach was killing him. So now I had a sick baby.....and a sick husband! i gave him some meds and got him in bed. I think we all finally went to bed around one Sunday morning. Anderson slept in until almost 10, which NEVER happens, due to the fact he was SOOOOO worn out. He is still hurting pretty bad and the orajel has been put to much use! I am still very tired this Monday morning and hope and pray Anderson has a good day at my Grandmothers.
As you can see Christmas didn't go exactly as we had hoped BUT Anderson loves all of his toys and he will hopefully be feeling up for a little play time tonight. Here are some pictures of the happier moments this past Saturday =)

4 Month Appointment!

So life has been soooo busy I have had hardly had time to write! So I am a little behind! Anderson will be 5 months old on the 7th of January but here are his stats from his 4 month appointment a few weeks ago!

The overall check up went very well! Anderson is in the 95th percitile in everything! He weighed in at 18lbs 5oz and was 26 1/2 inches long. He had to get two shots but he took them like a champ!!! He was cleared to start eating oatmeal and he LOOOOOVES it =) all in all out little man is very healthy and we go back in a few months for his 6 month check up. Here are some pics of Anderson at the doctor (before his shots) and of him eating his oatmeal with banana's for the first time!!!

Anderson's First trip to Christmas City

Last night we decided to take Anderson to Christmas City at Rose of Sharon camp ground for the first time! Bradley and I both went every year as a child and we could not wait to start that tradition with Anderson! We got some really good pics of us with Anderson before we left and sadly the little man tuckered out on the drive there! But Bradley and I enjoyed it enough for all of us =) We will try again in a few days and see if little man can stay awake for it! Here are some pics from last night!

Our little man has also been sleeping in some pretty funny positions lately! Here are some pics of yesterday morning! he fell asleep on the changing table while i was trying to get him dressed =)

Thanksgiving fun and a busy weekend!

This Thanksgiving was very special to me because we got to share it with our little man! He had such a good time and was in the best mood! we went to my mom's early to start cooking and Anderson took a looong nap so he would be very rested for dinner! Me and mom had a blast cooking, and luckily it was a day that my kidney stone pain was a little less! We finished dinner and ate around 4 and had a great time watching football and just being with family.
He had a blast!
he loved looking at the Christmas Tree with his Gammi
Daddy and Pop Pop passed out before we ate!

I'm teething so I LOVE my teething book right now!

My first Thanksgiving

After our Thanksgiving fun was over we went to visit Anderson's cousin Maxx, he is 6 months older than Anderson and very smart! We thought we would play a little dress up while we were there!
This made mommy laugh so hard!!

Me and Maxx =)

All in all we had a great holiday and a great visit with Jennifer Peter and Maxx!
Friday I had surgery to remove the Kidney stone that has been plaguing me for a while, it was my first surgery so I was very nervous. Dr. Leslie McGowan performed my Ureteroscopy and 3 days later I am still a little sore but kidney pain free! So a BIG thanks goes out to the Urology Group and Dr. McGowan for finally making me feel better! That's pretty much all the news right now in the Sartain house! Next up....CHRISTMAS! Love you all!
