A community coming together
I wish I had pictures of all the pretty pink and purple ribbons that are hanging all around Covington right now. One little girl has brought an entire community together in prayer over one weekend. I do not know much about sweet Lucy Krull's condition and I have never met this sweet girl, but I do know that this little girl has become my biggest hero! I cannot begin to understand the pain she is going through and that of her parents. I know she is 5 years old and had a major 6 to 7 hour surgery to remove cancerous tumors in her brain and on her spinal cord. She made it through surgery and now has a long road of very aggressive chemo and radiation treatments to kill the remaining tumors. My heart aches for this poor baby and her family and I catch myself thinking about her a lot during the day. It is sometimes easy for us to question God's reasoning for what he does, and why he chose this sweet baby for such a burden I don't know. But we must trust he is in control and he will give sweet Lucy the strength to beat this awful disease. She has been on my mind non stop today and I wish I could do more to help. I will be purchasing my pink and purple ribbon in support of this little hero and continue to hope and pray she beats this illness and gets to play with her siblings again! My prayers are with the Rose/Krull family GO LUCY GO!!!!! to keep up with this sweet baby you can follow her moms blog, it is not for the faint of heart and this blog will show you how much of a fighter sweet Lucy is as well as her parents!

6 Month checkup/First Valentines Day/First Zoo trip!!
As you can tell by the title of this post, we have had a busy few weeks!!! First things first, our little guy went for his 6 month checkup last week and is progressing very well! Dr. Higgenbotham was very impressed that Anderson could sit up on his own without any help! He weighed in at a whopping 21 lbs and 3 oz, and was 27 1/2 inches long. He is taking 6 oz bottles 3 to 4 times a day and eating fruit baby food in the morning and veggies for lunch. Dr. Higgenbotham also said we could start introducing the "puffs" snacks to him, so we will try those soon! He is in the 98th percentile in everything, and what made me such a proud mommy was that Dr. Higgenbotham said! Per Dr. Higg, babies who are that high in percentile weight and height, tend to be behind in developing their motor skills because they are bigger babies, but he said Anderson is right on track with EVERYTHING! He said he was very impressed with Anderson and that he is developing at a great rate. That's my boy =)
I will say this! Anderson had never had a sippy cup before yesterday, and since it was so hot and formula wasn't agreeing with Anderson's belly, we gave him juice in his sippy cup and he took to it like a champ! so we will start weening him off a bottle slowly and trying to go solely to a sippy cup from now on. Thanks for checking in =)
I must say this was the best Valentines Day to date! Bradley and I exchanged some small gifts and then we let Anderson open his! We found him a giant stuffed red Sock Monkey and he loves it! I think because it is his size =) Mom and Dad got Anderson a really sweet card and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse movie!
Yesterday, we decided since the weather would be nice, to take Anderson to the Zoo for the first time! and I'm so glad we did because we all had a ball!!!! I will let the pictures do the talking here =)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
"To the Love of my life, the mother of my child, my friend and soul mate.....I Love You Baby Your Husband and Yours Forever, Bradley"......What else could a woman need to read or hear on Valentines Day? This was the message in my card that Bradley gave me last night. The card spoke of how much he appreciated me and if I knew how much I was loved. I say all the time that I have the best husband in the world and little things like this prove it to me more and more. I have dreamed of starting my own family for so long and Bradley has made this dream into a reality for me and I don't think he will EVER know how grateful I am. Bradley is my match in every way and I thank God daily for him. This Valentine's was by far the best one yet and I can't wait to spend time with my boys today. I was telling Bradley the other night that, though I do not wish for time to speed up AT ALL, I could not wait for Anderson to be in school so we could buy Valentines cards for his class and do all the little things that my mom used to do for me at that age. My life and heart are full and I cannot be thankful enough. So to some up, I Love You Bradley for many reasons, but the main reason is because you loved me enough to make my biggest dream come true, you made me a Mommy =*)

6 months of pure bliss!
Yesterday, February 7th was a big day for the Sartain house. Our little man turned 6 months old! I still am struggling to believe this day is already here. It does not seem that long ago I was in the hospital about to deliver. He is growing into such a big boy and getting so independent. His 6 month check up is today and I will give all his stats when I get the report from Bradley. Sadly I wont be able to be at this appointment due to the fact I have to work. Other than this things are pretty normal, I have been sick with sinus junk for a little over a week now and will hopefully be moving on from it soon! So we are just staying thankful for a healthy happy family and i'm just waiting on Anderson stats from his appointment.
