A community coming together

I wish I had pictures of all the pretty pink and purple ribbons that are hanging all around Covington right now. One little girl has brought an entire community together in prayer over one weekend. I do not know much about sweet Lucy Krull's condition and I have never met this sweet girl, but I do know that this little girl has become my biggest hero! I cannot begin to understand the pain she is going through and that of her parents. I know she is 5 years old and had a major 6 to 7 hour surgery to remove cancerous tumors in her brain and on her spinal cord. She made it through surgery and now has a long road of very aggressive chemo and radiation treatments to kill the remaining tumors. My heart aches for this poor baby and her family and I catch myself thinking about her a lot during the day. It is sometimes easy for us to question God's reasoning for what he does, and why he chose this sweet baby for such a burden I don't know. But we must trust he is in control and he will give sweet Lucy the strength to beat this awful disease. She has been on my mind non stop today and I wish I could do more to help. I will be purchasing my pink and purple ribbon in support of this little hero and continue to hope and pray she beats this illness and gets to play with her siblings again! My prayers are with the Rose/Krull family GO LUCY GO!!!!! to keep up with this sweet baby you can follow her moms blog, it is not for the faint of heart and this blog will show you how much of a fighter sweet Lucy is as well as her parents!
