Update on mom

Well yesterday at 2:30 mom had a colonoscopy done so we could finally get some answers on how bad her Crohn's is, unfortunately her small intestine was too swollen to do the whole procedure so we learned nothing more than we already knew. So mom has to do a Barium swallow today and they will follow it with X-Rays and see the extent of the Crohn's hopefully. She has been NPO since Sunday but the hospital has taken some pity on her and let her have chicken broth and jello 2 times since then. She is very tired and ready to be home and we are just as ready! Mom is our rock and its just not in our norm for her to be out of commission this long. I have struggled with the fact mom will have to go back on a medicine regimen and have to deal with this uncomfortable disease again. So hopefully the barium swallow will work and maybe she will get to come home tomorrow or Saturday at the latest, but it just all depends on what they find. Please keep her in your prayers!
